RESEARCH INTERESTS
My research interests include the molecular epidemiology of infectious diseases, emerging antibiotic resistance, enteric pathogens, and bacterial genetics. My laboratory work focuses upon genetic mechanisms of resistance among extended spectrum beta-lactamase producing Enterobacteriaceae. In addition, I am interested sistance among extended spectrum beta-lactamase producing Enterobacteriaceae. In addition, I am interested in healthcare associated infections and am Associate Hospital Epidemiologist for the VA Maryland Health Care System.
