Clinical Conference

The Division of Infectious Diseases holds a weekly conference, which has several formats.  One week per month a research conference is held at which faculty from the Division or visiting faculty present their laboratory data.  The rest of the month, ID fellows make clinical case presentations in which they review the history, physical findings and laboratory results of challenging cases either to illustrate interesting diagnoses or to discuss difficult management issues.  A journal club, run by the fellows, follows the clinical conference once per month.  Two or three recent clinical or research papers from the Infectious Diseases literature are discussed.  The attendees at the clinical conference also participate in the review of materials submitted to the journal Clinical Infectious Diseases for the Photo Quiz section.
