Personal History

Dr. Farber is a board-certified and fellowship-trained foot and ankle specialist who joined University of Maryland Orthopaedics in September 2006 after three years in private practice in Montgomery and Howard counties in Maryland.

Dr. Farber earned his medical degree from the University of Maryland School of Medicine and was elected to the AOA Honor society. He continued his training with a general surgery internship and then an orthopaedic residency at the Milton S. Hershey Medical Center in Pennsylvania. His fellowship training was completed at the Mayo Clinic in Jacksonville, Florida, specializing in surgery for disorders of the foot and ankle.

Research Interests

Research interests focus on bone graft harvesting, digital radiography, various problems of the foot and ankle and shoewear development and evaluation.

Orthopaedic Surgery, specializing in disorders of the foot and ankle.
