Dr. Brown earned her Ph.D. in Human Services Psychology with a concentration in Behavioral Medicine in 2006 from UMBC. She has worked as a postdoctoral fellow with Dr. Kate Tracy and went on to complete an Epidemiology of Aging Postdoctoral Fellowship under the direction of Dr. Jay Magaziner. She is currently on the faculty of the Department of Epidemiology and Public Health in the Division of Gerontology.
Dr. Brown has teamed up with researchers at the Johns Hopkins School of Public Health and is currently investigating the potential relations among menopausal vasomotor symptoms, sleep disturbance and depressed mood in a cohort of perimenopausal women in the Baltimore metropolitan area.
