Research InterestsDr. Simon is a clinical trial specialist with experience working on multiple vaccine trials, including phase-1 studies of intranasal measles and oral Shigella flexneri 2a vaccines, phase-1 & 2 studies of parenteral influenza and avian influenza vaccines and a phase-3 study of a gD-Alum/MPL herpes simplex 2 vaccine. Particular interests that define Dr. Simon’s career goals include 1) development of alternative routes of immunization, 2) improved understanding of mucosal immune responses and 3) enhanced ability to define immune correlates of protection.
