Biosketch

Dr. Min Zhan is an Associate Professor of Biostatistics in the Department of Epidemiology and Public Health. She received her Ph.D. degree in Statistics from University of Waterloo in Canada. She has substantial experience in collaborating with biomedical researchers, in the areas of nephrology, cardiovascular diseases, infectious diseases, neurology, and cancer. She has served as biostatistician or co-investigator on more than 20 projects funded by National Institutes of Health (NIH) or Veterans Health Administration Research and Development (VA) or others. She has also served as Principal Investigator for a grant on examining the associations of tamoxifen metabolism and tamoxifen-related side effects with race and smoking in women with breast cancer. One of her current research interests is to examine patient safety incidents in chronic kidney disease.

In addition to research, she also teaches several courses for graduate students and serves on multiple dissertation committees.
