Personal History:

Mary Elizabeth Bollinger, D.O, FAAAI is an Associate Professor in the Department of Pediatrics at the University of Maryland School of Medicine. Dr. Bollinger is a board certified Allergist/Immunologist and is the Medical Director for the University of Maryland Children's Hospital Breathmobile. She joined the faculty in the Department of Pediatrics in 1996.

Dr. Bollinger earned her undergraduate degree in Biology from Notre Dame University of Maryland and received her medical degree from Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine.

Dr. Bollinger completed her pediatric residency at the University of Maryland Children’s Hospital and her Allergy/Immunology fellowship training at the Johns Hopkins Medical Institution.  She is currently certified by the American Board of Allergy and Immunology and is a Fellow of the American Academy of Asthma Allergy and Immunology (AAAAI).

Dr. Bollinger serves on the executive committee of the Maryland Asthma Control Program and serves as a committee member for the AAAAI Practice Management Committee and Academic Sustainability Sub-Committee as well as the AAAAI Adverse Reactions to Drugs, Biologicals and Latex Committee.

Research Interests:

Dr. Bollinger's research interests include inner city asthma, and impact of food allergy on children and families.

Dr. Bollinger's clinical specialties include asthma, food allergy, primary immunodeficiency, latex allergy, atopic dermatitis, and allergic rhinitis
