Biosketch

Hilary Whitlatch, MD is an Assistant Professor of Medicine at the University of Maryland School of Medicine in the Division of Endocrinology, Diabetes and Nutrition. She is an experienced clinician and treats a wide variety of endocrinologic conditions, including diabetes, pituitary, metabolic bone and thyroid disorders. She heads the Metabolic Bone Disease Clinic at UMMC Center for Diabetes and Endocrinology. She recently established a Transplant Endocrinology Clinic with the goal of improving patient access to endocrinologic care following kidney transplant.

Dr. Whitlatch’s clinical research interests include management of metabolic bone disease and treatment of severe insulin resistance. She has also investigated the use of various biomarkers in diabetes-related microvascular and macrovascular complication risk assessment.
