Dr. Rishi Kundi is an Assistant Professor of Surgery in the Division of Vascular Surgery at the University Of Maryland School Of Medicine. Dr. Kundi specializes in the clinical treatment and management of peripheral arterial disease in older adults. He is affiliated with several top-rated hospitals in the region, including the University of Maryland Medical Center, and the Baltimore VA Medical Center.
Dr. Kundi received his Medical Degree from Michigan State University. He completed a residency in General Surgery at Beth Israel Medical Center in New York City, a fellowship in Vascular Surgery at New York Presbyterian Hospital/Columbia University Medical Center, and a research fellowship in Vascular Biology at Weill Cornell Medical College.
Dr. Kundi is the recipient of several research grant awards including the NIH Junior Faculty Scholar Award to study the benefit of exercise therapy in older patients with peripheral artery disease. His current research is focused on the design of vascular imaging procedures that will be conducted during exercise testing in order to evaluate muscle perfusion.
