Assistant Professor of Neurosurgery at the University of Maryland School of Medicine, Dr. David Ibrahimi earned his medical degree from Virginia Commonwealth University School of Medicine and graduated with AOA honors. He completed a neurosurgery residency at the University of Maryland Medical Center. After residency, prior to joining the University of Maryland, Dr. Ibrahimi completed a Combined Neurosurgical and Orthopedic Complex Spine and Spinal Deformity Fellowship at the University of Virginia under the direction of Dr. Christopher Shaffrey. He has expertise in spinal diseases such as spinal tumors and spinal deformity.
