Biosketch

Dr. Hepp is a hospitalist physician for the Medical Intermediate Care unit.  She has worked on this unit since 2010.  IMC patients are complex, often critically ill patients who have needs requiring additional monitoring and support.  Examples include those who have increased oxygen requirements,  are on insulin infusions, have stable ventilator needs, or require intravenous antihypertensive medications. She is one of seven attending physicians on the Medical IMC team (Med 7).   They work shifts to provide 24/7 care of their patients without the assitance of residents or fellows.  The medical staff of the IMC pride themselves on close communication with patients, families, consulting physicians, and each other.

In addition to her clinical duties, Dr. Hepp also precepts groups of first and second year medical students as they learn history and physical exam skills in their Introduction to Clinical Medicine courses.
