Dr. Zandberg received his M.D. degree from Jefferson Medical College in 2005. He completed his internal medicine internship and residency at the George Washington University Medical Center. He then completed a year as a Chief Medical Resident for the George Washington University Internal Medicine Program. He subsequently completed fellowship in hematology/medical oncology at the University of Maryland before joining the faculty at the University of Maryland Marlene and Stewart Geenebaum Cancer Center. Dr. Zandberg is board certified in Internal Medicine, Hematology, and Medical Oncology and his practice is focused on head and neck cancers as well as gastrointestinal malignancies
Dr. Zandberg is a clinical researcher with research primarily focused in head and neck cancer. His personal research interests include using immunotherapy to improve outcomes for patients with recurrent/metastatic squamous cell carcinoma of the head and neck.
