Personal History:

Dr. Pensy earned his MD at the University of Maryland School of Medicine. He completed his residency in orthopaedic surgery at the University of Maryland Medical System and went on to complete a fellowship in hand surgery at the Curtis National Hand Center after serving active duty in the United States Air Force. Specializing in upper extremity reconstruction, Dr. Pensy is board certified in hand surgery and orthopaedic surgery.

Research Interests:

Dr. Pensy is actively involved in research, with special interests in scaphoid fractures and fixation techniques, fractures of the distal radius, and compression neuropathy in upper extremity trauma.


Clinical Specialty:

Dr. Pensy specializes in hand surgery, upper extremity reconstruction, and orthopaedic traumatology.
