Personal HistoryMichelle G. Prettyman, PT, MS, DPT is an Assistant Professor with academic and clinical experience concentrating on adult populations with movement dysfunction related to pathology of the nervous system. Her education from the University of Delaware consists of a B.S. and Certificate in Physical Therapy and from the University of Southern California an Advanced Master’s of Science in Biokinesiology and Post-Professional Doctorate of Physical Therapy. Volunteerism, clinic practice and membership in the Education and Neurology sections of the American Physical Therapy Association underscore a commitment to the profession, student education and quality service to patients.
Research activities have focused on rehabilitation following stroke and include participation with the multi-center "EXCITE” project investigating Constraint-Induced Therapy for recovery of arm function.
