Research Interests:

Dr. Todd's research interests include pulmonary fibrosis and bronchogenic carcinoma. He works with Sergei Atamas, MD, PhD from the Division of Rheumatology on the basic science mechanisms of pulmonary fibrosis, using both animal models of pulmonary fibrosis and lung tissue from patients with idiopathic pulmonary fibrosis (IPF). He works with Feng Jiang, MD from the Department of Pathology on the genetics of lung cancer, using both in vitro cell lines and epithelial cells of patients with bronchogenic carcinoma.

Clinical Speciality:

Dr. Todd attends regularly on the inpatient and outpatient pulmonary and critical care medicine services at the University of Maryland Medical System and the Baltimore VA Medical Center. He is Fellowship Program Director for the Division of Pulmonary and Critical Care Medicine at the University of Maryland. His clinical interests include interstitial lung disease, COPD and bronchogenic carcinoma.
