2010 Christmas Benefit

2010 Christmas Benefit

A big smile was on the face of our recipient this past Monday when four elves from the Department of Anesthesiology were waiting on her doorstep with 5 overflowing totes of gifts for her and her four children. Within a short period of time, the department opened their hearts, wallets and took the time to shop to fulfill the entire wish lists of 4 children and a single mom who reside in the inner city. Departmental staff personally contributed $690 in cash and the department generously contributed $500...grand total of $1190! In addition to monetary donations, a ton of clothing, toys, toiletries and household items were also received.

All of the children will have new winter outerwear from head-to-toe, comforters for their beds, all of the toys on their wish list and so much much more! We were even able to fill a tote of goodies for mom which included a much needed winter coat as well as gift cards to purchase groceries for the holidays.
