Recruitments: Process

  1. Prior to advertising or selecting a candidate you must have Dean’s approval for the recruitment. To obtain Dean’s approval submit a completed Faculty Recruitment Information Sheet (FRIS), signed by the Department Chair (and Center, Institute or Program Director, if applicable), to the Office of Academic Administration as a scanned document attached as an email.

  2. You will be notified of the position number once the FRIS is approved.

  3. The approved position is valid for 1-year.

  4. Form a search committee as specified in your department’s recruitment plan.

  5. Begin recruitment, i.e., advertising, networking, etc. as specified in your department’s recruitment plan.
    Announcements and advertisements MUST contain the following as a tag line:

  6. Send online EEO data collection form (instead of old Yellow Cards) to ALL applicants. This ensures that the Campus collects valid hiring practice data. HR sample email request template
